Rollerskating Night

Summer is currently in full swing now that school is over. We decided on a mommy/daughter date to the roller rink. This was Savannah's second time learning how to skate. The place the pretty dead that night so we had the whole rink to ourselves. We arrived earlier that day and the workers there told me they were closing down in 30 minutes and would re -open in an hour and a half. Savannah was resistant to leave at first but we ended up going to shopping for Hunter's birthday. We stopped afterwards for some ice cream from Dairy Queen. We had a good time skating and we even came home with a few free passes. We became friends with the staff members while we were there. Savannah made friends with a boy her own age that night. The kids had a blast skating around with each other.

Savannah's 6th Birthday

Savannah turned 6 years old two weeks ago. We were finally throwing her a gymnastics party. The kids had a blast and really enjoyed themselves. We celebrated with cake and presents. Savannah loved all of her presents. Apparently Sam's club wrote on her cake "Happy 8th Birthday Savannah". Unfortunately we will just have to live with the mistake. Afterwards we headed back to the house and enjoyed some good company and pizza. Overall the party was a success. Can't believe my baby is growing up so fast! We love you sweetheart!!

Look who turned 6

It's official my baby has turned 6 years old. Can't believe that she is this old already. Time sure is flying by. We absolutely love our little love bug. Mom and Dad took her out for a birthday dinner to the Olive Garden. The babysitter threw her a mini party. She purchased her a cake and decorated it with a Cinderella topper. She purchased a couple of mylar balloons and gifts. Savannah even got to go to McDonald's for an ice cream cone. We are so blessed to have this little one in our family. She is full of life and energy and a great big sister!

First loose tooth

Savannah had a washrag in her mouth about two months ago and the babysitter gentle pulled it out of her mouth when all of a sudden Savannah's tooth became wiggly. This tooth finally fell out. The grand kids came over for a sleepover last week. Savannah came down a quick snack and chose to eat an apple. About five minutes later she came downstairs telling us that her tooth had fallen out. The new tooth was right behind it poking up. The tooth fairy came that night and left her some money. She was very excited!

Celebration Time

Sabrina's son Ricky turned 7 years old and we celebrated his special day with him. We were able to spend time with Sarah and baby Ryker. This was our first time at there new house. We had a great time!!

New Kids Haircuts

Hunter received his first professional haircut. I wasn't sure how this was going to go over but I gave it a shot. He sat in my lap and enjoyed his sucker. He stayed relatively still for the most part. He didn't enjoy the hair buzzer. I made the lady go back and fix up the back some more. It will take mom some time getting used to the new hair cut. It does look better than the shaggy look was sporting before. My baby has always had some beautiful baby hair.

Savannah was being quite difficult during her haircut and I had to offer her a yummy bribe afterwards. I wanted to cut the length off of her hair. It hasn't been cut in a very long time. She was trying to grow it out like the Disney princess Rapunzel.  She never lets mom fix her hair in cute little pony tails. She looks better with short hair. I  convinced Savannah to cut is off since summer is right around the corner. She was rewarded with ice cream afterwards.

Savannah's first black eye

This week Savannah was playing outside on some gym equipment after school. She attends the YMCA after school program and tripped over her shoelace and fell down face first into some wood chips. The poor girl suffered a bump and bruise on her left eye.
