1st Day of Kindergarten

Savannah started Kindergarten at Gilbert's Elementary School. She has been super excited for school to begin for weeks. Her teacher is Mrs. Raab and enjoys going to school everyday. She loves riding the school bus and has already started to make new friends. Her friend Peyton rides the bus home with her. The girls knew each other from preschool last year. She is learning new things everyday. I love hearing all about her day. She enjoys gym class, lunch and recess. She loves learning and is thriving in her new school.

Day at the Beach at Lake Geneva

We spent the day up at Lake Geneva, WI with the Jespersen family. We carpooled up there and because Frank was still working he just met us up there. We brought picnic lunches and enjoyed time at the beach. Hunter ate sand for the very first time and wasn't sure what to go about it. Luckily Mom had a bottle water on her and washed his mouth out twice. The water was cold at first but seemed nice after a few minutes. We had originally planned on going jet skiing but the cost was too high and we couldn't take turns during the hour long session. We decided instead to rent a platoon boat and went tubing instead so the kids could also enjoy the ride. All the speedboats were unavailable for those particular time slots. We had a great time on the boat. We were worried about the kids getting bored on the boat for two hours. I was a little hesitant to go on the tub myself at first. I'm not a big fan of deep water. Need to say I jumped on and enjoyed the ride. I managed to bounce right off the tube and landed right into the water. I was panicked as usual and started swimming to the boat. I was rescued and after awhile braved the waters again. Savannah wanted to go on with her mommy. We went much slower the 2nd time and Savannah kept telling me how she didn't like it and how boring tubing was. I did get back out on the water once more and managed to stay on. My husband helped drive the boat and went tubing once.

4th of July Parade

Waiting for the parade to begin in South Elgin

Proud to be an American

 Enjoying the parade

Hunter watching the parade, surprisingly the sirens didn't scare him.

Savannah and Hunter were rewarded with lots of candy and treats

Father's Day

On Father's Day we all headed over to Aunt Denise's house for a BBQ. It was nice to get together with the entire family.

Preschool Graduation 2013-2014

Savannah graduated from Sonshine Christian Preschool back in May. She wasn't happy that they made her wear a White graduation cap. The original cap the teacher gave her was destroyed when she decided threw it into the garbage can behind my back. The cap was completely covered in wet macaroni and cheese. Mom found it outside in the garbage can. Needless to say I had to pull out the cap from the trash. Mom did her best to clean up the mess but it was a complete loss. Luckily her school teacher gave her another cap to borrow for graduation night. She was even pouting during the whole musical performance and was barely even singing. Everyone was laughing at her when she went up on stage to get her diploma because she had a big old frown on her face. She had even gone and turned her diploma into a paper airplane while she was sitting on the floor with her class. Needless to say after the cap came off she was all smiles and enjoyed the milk and cookies afterwards. She was such a little stinker this night.
