Ten for Tuesday

1. I went into the doctor's office for chemo treatment #7 just after I returned back home from Idaho. All went well this week with my treatment and I'm officially 1/2 through this treatment. No side effects yet.

2. Sabrina decided this week she wanted to spend the entire weekend with our family. She drove the kids over on Friday night. My house was a little chaotic with all the kids.

3. We had a great time visiting with family and on Saturday night we rented the movie "Wolverine". Sabrina went to pick up Ricardo and they came over and join us for dinner. She cooked a nice birthday dinner for her dad. We ate cake and ice cream afterwards.

4. We all went to church the following day and just barely made it on time. Frankie gave his first talk at church on Honesty and he did a great job!

5. I missed the Woman's Broadcast due to the birthday dinner. I heard there were some really good talks given.

6. The weather has taken a turn for the worse and become cold already. I guess you could say that Fall has arrived. I just had to turn on the heat today.

7. I decided to walk in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Race in Chicago. I called up a couple of close friends from church and they joined me. We carpooled and made it in really good time. We registered the day of and walked around to all the different booths. They had a ton of giveaways and loud music playing and dancing. The survivors had a special breakfast and you could join in a special parade. I opted out of the parade since I have just begun my journey. All the participants had been cancer free for a longer time than me.

8. The race began and we walked with a lot of people in Grant park. I ran into a woman who started talking to me and gave me some words of encouragement. It was neat to see all of the cancer survivors. When I arrived at the halfway point and could see the finish line I started to see runners finishing up the race. The clock said 29minutes which reminded me of Lara. This is the same time that she can run the race in. It was a special moment to me! Maybe next year I will run the 5k race, I will start getting in shape.

9. I ran out of things to say...Have a good week!

Breast Cancer Walk

Today I participated in the Susan G Komen breast cancer walk in Chicago. I decided to go last minute and was able to rally together a couple of my friends from church. We woke up really early and drove downtown. They had music and dancing and lots of booths setup with a bunch of giveaways. The race began and it was a really good workout. There was a good turn out and plenty of people participated. There was a special breakfast for cancer patient survivors.

10 on Wednesday

1. We flew out to Boise, Idaho last Wednesday to visit the grandparents and Aunt Terri and her family. It was really nice to see everyone again. We had a great time!

2. We went to the Zoo Boise and saw many different kinds of animals. We saw a wild mink stealing food out of the bald eagle cage and getting away with their food without the eagles even making a single move. He was very lucky...We got the film footage on our cameras.

3. We went to the history museum and learned all about the history in Idaho. We stopped afterwards for lunch. We ate at a place called Souper/Salad.

4. On Saturday we headed down to the Boise temple and took a bunch of pictures. This temple reminds me of the Chicago temple. We went to Wahooz to play in the arcade, laser tag, bumper boats, and go kart racing. We all got soaked on the bumper boats, I won at mini golf, and Frank spun out a couple of times on the slick track for the go karts, and Travis dominated us all at laser tag.

5. On Sunday we attended church with Aunt Terri and the kids and than we had a nice BBQ afterwards. We had yummy steak and baked potatoes, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and salmon. Sarah had baked some cupcakes and I baked a German chocolate cake for Frank's birthday. Grandma/pa should us how to play hand and foot afterwards.

6. On Monday we were able to go horseback riding for an hour long trail ride. We had a great time and Aunt Terri and I were a little sore the next day. The scenery was beautiful and the horses were gentle and fun to ride. Terri's horse kept on trotting the whole ride causing her a bumpy ride. We stopped by a Mexican restaurant on the way home.

7. On Tuesday we just hung out and talked and I ran a few errands with Aunt Terri and Uncle Bobby. Just a lazy day! We had an early dinner and than headed down to the airport. Frank and I did a little shopping at the airport. The baby did good and we had a great flight back home. We arrived home around 1am and luckily for us the baby slept in. It will take me a few more days to get back to normal.

8. Today I went in for treatment #7 only 6 more to go until I can start on the next phase of my treatments and radiation. I'm half way through and I'm trilled! The doctor took me off the steroid medication and now my treatments are slightly shorter.

9. I'm looking forward to all of the season premieres coming up soon.

10. Frankie was asked to give his first talk at church. The topic he was assigned is Honesty. I will report next week how it goes :)

4 Months Old

My beautiful baby girl

Twelve for Tuesday

1. I decided to switch from AT&T to Comcast to save some money on our phone bill and it accidently disconnected our internet service. I had Comcast come out to setup the phone and modem service. They mailed out the install kit in the mail and it arrived yesterday. Frank and I had to purchase a wireless router to make it all work together. I wasn't too happy about that but didn't want to go without the internet any longer. I have been having to go down to the office everyday to check my e-mails, etc

2. Frank and I went to the Summer Sizzler for WFG. The speakers were amazing and it was really good. The baby joined us and did a great job but was up too late and became a little fuzzy towards the end of the conference.

3. I had my 9th and 10th cancer treatments and all went well with that. I have been feeling much better this time around and still no side effects to report yet.

4. Frank went to a Tom Hopkins sales training seminar in San Jose. He stayed with Aunt Julie for a few days. It's nice to have family to count on when in a pinch. Frank rented a car and just commuted back and forth.

5. The day of the flight I was running a few minutes behind schedule. I went to fill up the car with gas and realized that I forgot my purse at home so I had to back track. Afterwards I stopped by the bank and arrived to the office 10 minutes late. We were already leaving late and I somehow killed the battery in Frank's car. We had to jump start the car. We rushed down to the airport and just barely made it. Frank was able to catch his flight. He had to throw out his hair and shave gel. He got a little lost driving in a new state. I was happy to hear that he eventually made it to Aunt Julie's house.

6. Afterwards I was meeting up with a friend Jackie at the Woodfield Mall. I had to drive back to Frank's office to pick up the baby stroller. When I arrived I heard music playing in my car and was shocked to see the car was running for two hours with the keys in the ignition unlocked. I could have killed my husband for forgetting to turn off my car. I was very lucky that I went back otherwise I would have never known my car was still running. I'm grateful that no one stole my car.

7. I went out to lunch to P.F. Chang's and than did a little shopping. I purchased Savannah some new clothes at Jc Penny's.

8. Today is our three year wedding anniversary. Frank has to work all day long so we are going to celebrate it this weekend.

9. Looking forward to going out to Idaho tomorrow for a family vacation. I'm a little nervous to travel with the baby. I'm excited to reconnect with family.

10. The kids came over this weekend and we had a great time with together. On Saturday I took Sarah to get a hair cut and we ran some errands together. Afterwards the kids went swimming with Mike and Heather. We fired up the grill and cooked some steaks and had a wonderful dinner together. We rented a Redbox movie "17 Again". I fell asleep after the first 5 minutes. I was exhausted from getting up early with the baby. The movie I heard was good. I will have to rent it again when I am more awake.

11. We had stake conference and than I had to drive the kids home early. They weren't too happy with me. I took the baby over to a friends house to watch for a few hours. I went to pick up Frank from the airport.

12. I'm excited to hear that Barbara and Gary purchased their first home.
