Ten for Tuesday

1. Frankie and Sarah went back to school. This year Frankie went into 8th grade and Sarah started High School as a freshman. Sarah is having a hard time getting adjusted to High School and making new friends.

2. I went in for my 1st chemo treatment using a new set of drugs. The overall experience was very long and boring. I was happy that I didn't have any side effects this time around.

3. I had an echocardigram on Wednesday at the hospital. The doctor said that my heart function looked good.

4. I picked up the kids on Friday and drove them back over to our house. It was good to see them again. I have been really struggling being a stay at home mom. After two weeks of being by myself I got pretty bored and lonely.

5. I had lunch with my friend Mary and we went out to lunch to Culver's. It was nice to catch up on old times.

6. I was able to visit with some of my other friends from work and that was nice. It has been a long time since I have seen certain people.

7. On Saturday night Mike and Heather came over and we waited for Sabrina to come over with the kids so we could attend a party together. We went over to a friends house from WFG and they had a luau. The weather was a little bit on the cool side but the food was good. They had entertainment such as hula dancers and an Elvis Presley inpersonator.

8. Afterwards we came back to the house and had a slumber party with the Sabrina and the kids. We watched old movies and ate popcorn.

9. We all attended church the following morning together. Everyone was running late to church. I took the baby and arrived on time and saved seats for everyone. After sacrament Sabrina and the kids left and went back to the house and waited for us to finish church. I learned my calling a little bit more and did it all by myself. Frank taught his class for the very first time.

10. We had dinner together and Frank and his son went and did some home teaching together. Sabrina and Ricardo weren't feeling good they they left right afterwards.

Making Salsa

This is my famous salsa. I used homegrown tomatoes from our little garden to make the yummy salsa. I have really enjoyed having our little patio garden this year.

Ten for Tuesday

1. This week I received a bill from the hospital for only .03. I thought this was pretty funny!

2. The kids went back to school this week. I was relieved to see them go back over to their mother's house for the rest of the year. Although now I'm pretty bored all by myself. The baby is too small to do a whole lot with me at this point.

3. I went to my playgroup with Savannah to a splash park. It was nice to get out and just visit with my friends. I felt bad and forgot to bring suntan lotion for the baby. One of my friends loaned me some however the baby still got burned on her cheeks. I ended up getting burned myself on the back of my neck.

4. Frank and I went and did a little shopping at JcPenny's. We purchased him a few new dress shirts that were only $10 each. What a great sale!

5. I'm getting ready to go in for another cardiogram tomorrow morning than I will be undergoing a new cancer treatment. I'm not really looking forward to this one because it is supposed to take 3-4 hours. Hopeful this one doesn't make me sick like the last time did.

6. I received a new calling as Primary secretary and Frank is the new course 12 teacher. He will have Frankie in his class again. We had him in class several years ago in Primary.

7. I spent most of the class time being trained in my new position. The calling seems much more involved than I expected.

8. I'm starting to feel better now that I have been through the worst part of my chemo treatments.

9. Spending more time with the husband has been really nice. I have to do more to keep myself busy. I have been going crazy being a stay at home mom.

10. We invited some friends over for dinner on Sunday night. It was nice to entertain guests from our old ward.

Ten for Tuesday

1. The kids came over for their weekend visit with us. It was very quiet and peaceful all week long. We ordered Chinese food on Friday night.

2. On Thursday night I went to my husband bpm with my good friend Heather. I wasn't feeling good and took a turn for the worse as the meeting progressed.

3. I ended up calling the doctor and getting a prescription called in over the phone. I left that evening in tears. My friend came over to care for me for a few hours. She drove me to the grocery store and to Walgreen's to pickup some medication.

4. The following morning was even worse that the night prior. I was crying in agony! I had my husband call the doctor's office and they couldn't get me in until 2pm. I was blessed that they called me back in and got me into an earlier appointment 10:30am. I had to leave immediately and I had to drive an hour to get there.

5. Once I was there I couldn't stop puking my guts out. I had to bring a small bucket into the car and luckily I did becase I needed it. Poor Frank had to cancel all of his appointments for that day to care for me.

6. I arrived to the doctor and he told me that I have bad mouth sores from the chemo. He hooked me up to an IV and I took in about 2 hours of fluids and antinausea medication. I was having a hard time keeping anything down in the stomach.

7. I have been fighting this all week long and have been forcing myself to eat food. It's so painful to eat anything but know I need to in order to rebuild my blood count which is very low.

8. Last night I actually had the desire to eat and started to feel a little bit better. Keep me in your prayers!

9. I missed my echocardigram this morning and I had to re-schedule for next wednesday. I pushed back my chemo treatment next week by 15 minutes. I hope my heart has not been affected by the chemo.

10. I received a new calling on Friday night to be the Primary Secratary. I had to leave church early so I will get set apart next week.

3 Months Old

Savannah is officially three months old today. She is growing into a beautiful baby girl who loves to smile and watch people's faces. She can hold her head up good now. She is babbling like crazy and is taking after her mother. She is a good eater and sleeper. She has a mild temperment and is a delight to have around the house.

Ten for Tuesday

1. I had my 4th and final AC treatment. The first set of cancer treatments are supposed to be the hardest on my body and I have surpassed this part now. I've made it through the fatigue portion of chemo and just dealing with another oral yeast infection. I became sick right after my last treatment. Luckily my doctor had prescribed me some more medication so I started that a few days later.

2. My friend Wendy came over on Wednesday evening to help me get through my chemo treatments. The Relief Society had brought over several meals during the week.

3. My friend Heather had spent the following two nights with me on my road to recovery. They were great with helping me with the baby.

4. On Friday night we had rented two movies from Redbox. We saw the movies Bride Wars and Mall Cop.

5. On Saturday morning I had attended a baby shower for my friend Erin. She is expecting her 1st baby in 3 short weeks. My friends and I had to leave early because of some hair appointments that were setup in advance.

6. I helped a friend feed some dogs that she was dogsitting for this week.

7. I went to a bbq and enjoyed a night of fun with some friends from church. I ran out of baby formula and had to go home early to put the baby to sleep.

8. The kids went back to their mother's house for the rest of summer. School starts again in 2 weeks. Frankie is going into 8th grade and Sarah will be starting her first year in High School.

9. Frank got a call on Sunday night around midnight to help a friend who was in distress. Apparently she found a bat in the house she is dogsitting for and needed help removing the bat. They never found the bat once Frank arrived.

10. I'm planning on taking a trip to Idaho the last week of September. I'm very grateful for frequent flyers miles. We are getting two trips for free.
