My Little Pumpkin

Ten for Tuesday

1. I went in for chemo treatment #3 on Wednesday. I started to feel some numbness in my big toe. This is a common side effect to the chemotherapy. I'm so excited that I only have 2 more treatments to go. Yeah!

2. My friend Jackie and I went shopping for Savannah. We stopped at Carter's and I found a couple of really cute outfits. I needed more winter clothes for the next couple of months.

3. I stopped at JcPenny's and I purchased a few pairs of jeans for the baby. I received a message on the PA system that I had lost my car keys. Apparently I left them on the truck of my car. Luckily for me someone turned them in and we were able to make it back home safely.

4. I spent the day with my friend Jackie and than I went to pick up the kids. I came back so that the boys could play some video games together. We headed home and spent some time with Frank.

5. On Saturday I took the kids over to play in the stake volleyball tournament. The boys won the tournament and the girls did a good job winning one and losing the other game. The kids were hesitant in going but had a great time. The leaders served pizza after it was all over.

6. Sarah and I went over to Wendy's house and we made sugar cookies and than decorated them. We had to run out to purchase some vanilla. I noticed that the grocery store had pumpkins on sale so I purchased 4 pumpkins for only $3.50 a piece.

7. We went to the Bloomingdale ward to attend a chili fest. Before it started I ran across the street to Micheals to make a return for my friend. The party was a blast and there were many different chili's to taste. I ate way too much and than we had some yummy dessert. They had trick or treating afterwards for the children.

8. I met a woman from this ward who was recently diagnoised with having lung cancer and I got to share my story with her. She has a 75% chance of having a reoccurence. I felt bad for her but very grateful about my own situation.

9. We had our Primary program at church. We were running a little late getting to church but made it shortly after it started. The kids a great job and I was very proud of them.

10. We carved pumpkins as a family. It was nice to have Frank there to share in the experience with us.

Pumpkin Carving

We had a great time carving pumpkins together as a family.

Halloween Costume

Auntie Jenny sewed Sarah a Halloween costume this year. She was mini mouse for anyone who can't tell. Here is the final result. Sarah loves having an aunt who can make her a custom made outfit every year.

Ten for Tuesday

1. I completed chemo treatment #4 and I only have a few more weeks until I'm all finished with that portion of my treatments.

2. I went to see my breast surgeon to do another breast exam. I had a small medical concern posed to me by my chemo doctor. He wanted me to have it checked out. My breast surgeon ordered up an ultrasound and I went to the hospital and found out it was nothing. The medical doctor at the hospital didn't find any more cancer which was a relief.

3. I attended a Pampered Chef party on Thursday night. I really enjoyed getting together with my friends from the old ward.

4. On Sunday we held our primary rehearsal for next Sunday's performance. It was long and the kids did a great job. I'm looking forward to the big event!

5. I had a presidency meeting to discuss the needs of our Primary.

6. Frank and I took Savannah to the pumpkin patch this weekend. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed some hot apple cider and we came away with
an apple pie that was to die for...yummy

7. Frank and I drove over to a friends house for dinner. My friend Devin gave us an exersauer for the baby. She also had a cute pumpkin costume that she loaned to me for Halloween.

8. I have a new visiting teacher and she will by stopping tonight.

9. The weather has been very nice this week.

10. We had our home teacher come over for a visit. He is wonderful and we love having a steady home teacher since we hadn't had one for awhile.

Fall Time

Pumpkin Patch

This year we took Savannah to Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch. It couldn't have been a nicer day outside. There were pony and camel rides, and a haunted house. Frank and I enjoyed yummy hot apple cider and purchased an apple pie that was just delicious! Savannah enjoyed walking around with mommy and people watching.

Ten for Tuesday

1. I went in for my 5th chemo treatment. I met a girl named Margie who was beginning her chemo treatments and she was interested in meeting me. The nurse had told her about and apparently she is around the same age as I and has a five month old son. We have a similiar history. I was happy to be there for her even though I had to leave shortly after meeting her. I will get to see her again tomorrow. It's nice to have people around to help you get through this.

2. I'm starting to feel the side effects to the chemotherapy. I have been more faitgued and sore muscles. I'm a little nervous about how the next month will be on my body. Wish me luck!

3. Frank has been very busy at work and he recently did another job fair and has a bunch of potential clients/recruits. I hope this will result in some good payoffs. He recently became a branch manager in Rockford. He will be moving his office soon to help us save money.

4. I spent the whole day on Saturday running errands with a few friends. Afterwards we went back to her house and just visited with one another.

5. Frank wasn't feeling good and he stayed home from church. I still went with Savannah and really enjoyed the testimonies. I'm currently getting ready for the Primary program on Oct 25th.

6. We had dinner guests on Sunday evening and Frank cooked his famous spaghetti. We had a great time visiting and played a game of Pegs and Jokers.

7. I went to the dentist on Monday morning. I failed to call anyone to watch Savannah and had to find someone right away. I was lucky enough to find a babysitter last minute. I went and had my temporary crown fixed and than he repaired a seperate tooth that was missing a piece.

8. I managed to do some more scrapbooking and completed another 8 pages. I love saving memories. I also started a journal on the computer so I can eventually scrapbook all of Savannah's firsts.

9. I went to IKEA with my friend Jackie and we did a little shopping and than we went to eat at La Madgalena's. The food was delicious as usual. I'm going to miss my friend who is moving back to the Meridian/Eagle area in Idaho. I guess I will have to come back out for a visit in the near future.

10. Savannah is rolling around a lot now and was just found choking on a piece of paper. That was definately scary! I guess I better keep a closer eye on my baby. She was actually found scooting around on the floor on Saturday. She will be crawling any day now. She is having a hard time sleeping at night. I need to feed her more food at night.

Five Months Old

Eleven on Tuesday

1. I went in for my 6th chemo treatment. I'm happy to report that I'm half way through my second round of treatments. I getting more and more excited every week. I can't wait until all this is over. I'm still not having any side effects.

2. I took Savannah in for her 4 month check up with doctor Rosewell. She told me that she grew an inch and gained another 3 pounds. She is currently 13 almost 14 pounds and 24 inches long. She is doing a good job playing with her toys. Savannah is doing well sitting up with assistance and holding her own neck. She is moving around a lot now and constantly flipping over. She tends to get a little fustrated on her belly and hasn't learned quite yet how to turn herself back over. She is officially 5 months old.

3. We switched weekends with Joy and we had the kids again this weekend.

4. Sarah was a little bummed she couldn't go over to the Baker's house for general conference and to visit with her friends. She was in trouble for getting a couple of bad grades in school. She doesn't seem to be liking High School this year.

5. Frank's car needed a brake job so I took the car over to a friends house to help us save on money. He replaced them as a favor to us. I was very appreciative for all of his hard work.

6. On the way home even though it was cold and rainy outside Sarah decided to roll the window down in Frank's car and the motor died so the window got stuck. I had to try to keep the baby warm and drive all the way back home. I was not happy about.

7. We had to keep the rain out of the car for a couple of days and hope that the car didn't get stolen. Frank had to take the door apart and disconnect the motor and manually pull thc e window back up. We will eventually have to replace the window motor.

8. Sarah and I went over to my friends house for her daughters 12th birthday party. We enjoyed some Asian food and had a good time.

9. We went over to Wendy's house to eat dinner and to watch Dance Flick. The movie was funny however very raunchy at times. I did however learn how to cook lemon chicken.

10. We watched general conference and really enjoyed all of the talks.

11. I went to the dentist and learned that I broke a piece off of my temporary crown. I have to go back next Monday to have it repaired. I also lost part of another tooth which needs a partial filling. I wondered why food kept getting stuck in between my gums. Ouch!!!
