Ten for Tuesday

1. I started off the week by cleaning, laundry, packing, and running errands in preparation for our trip down to Tennessee.

2. I went in for radiation on Wednesday morning and than we packed up the car and headed out down south to a warmer climate. Savannah did a great job in the car again. She is such a good little traveler. We took a slightly different route than usual and got a little lost. I missed the street sign that we were looking for in the dark. We added an extra 30 minutes onto our journey trying to locate grandma's house. Luckily we had our GPS in the car.

3. Frank did some last minute shopping and the girls stayed behind to bake some Christmas cookies and sour cream twists. We watched "The Nativity Story" and than Savannah opened up her Christmas pj's and than we headed to bed.

4. The very next morning we woke up around 7am and than we opened up presents and than we ate breakfast. Savannah didn't open up any gifts but really enjoyed playing in all the wrapping paper and boxes. Afterwards the girls headed out to watch the Blind Side and than came home and had a nice Christmas dinner. Savannah joined us at the table and tried mashed potatoes for the very first time. We watched the "March of the Toy Wooden Soldier" and played games.

5. The next day us girls headed out to the mall for more shopping. We took advantage of all the store clearances. I did some Christmas shopping for the kids and than we stopped by O'Charley's for lunch.

6. We came back home and Jenny and the boys went to see the movie "Avatar". They took longer than we had expected and mom and I were at home waiting to eat dinner. We eventually reunited and than we headed back out to the Bristol Motor Speedway for a Christmas lights display. It was a long wait but worth it in the end. Frank and Dad stayed home and made pens together.

7. On Christmas evening we were playing Mexican Train and Jenny was watching the baby when the cat attacked Savannah. Apparently she was grabbing at his tail and he didn't like this and scratched her face. The kid is alright now and healing from her attack.

8. On Sunday we packed up the car and than we headed out to church. Frank and I left after sacrament meeting. I forgot we packed the diaper bag in my car and Frank was running late to church. I was hoping he would show up soon before Savannah had a meltdown and he did. That would have gotten pretty ugly if he hadn't shown up any later. We said our goodbyes and than we headed home. I realized right before we left that my car keys were missing. I searched everywhere for my keys and discovered that my mother had them in her coat pocket. I now am waiting for them to arrive in the mail.

9. The car ride home was pretty nice until we hit Indiana which is where it was starting to lightly snow and the roads were getting slick. Thankfully we got home safely it just took us a little longer getting home.

10. Apparently the set of keys that I had made the night prior to us leaving didn't work and our poor cat starved all week long. He was light as a feather when we returned back home and pretty hungry but he is now recovering from his tramatic event.

11. I finished up with my radiation treatments today. Hooray!!! I found Savannah eating a dead cricket that she had found on the floor that I hadn't had time to pick up yet. Luckily I was able to retrieve most of the cricket from her mouth.

Bristol Motor Speedway

This year we drove over to the Bristol Motor Speedway for a Christmas Lights display. We had a long wait but it was worth it in the end. Here are a few things that we saw...

Christmas 2009

Savannah opened up a gift on Christmas Eve which turned out to be her Christmas outfit for the very next morning. She was more interested in the bow.

Genetic Testing

Today I had a consultation with a medical doctor who explained how the genetic testing all works. She took a blood sample and will ship it off to Salt Lake City for testing. It is a very expensive test however I'm hoping that the health insurance will cover most of the cost. I already met my deductible and will have them call me first and let me know of any out of pocket costs. If I decide not to go through with the testing than they will just throw away my blood sample. If I do decide that I can afford the testing than it will take 6 weeks to get the results back. The doctor did recommend it not because of a family history but because of my age. She thinks it was probably a sporadiac case of cancer in our family. I will let everyone know what the final results are from the BracAnalysis.

Ten on Tuesday

1. I went in for another Herception treatment on Wednesday. It was really good to see all the nurses again. The appointment went well and I got a doctor's release back to work on Jan 4th.

2. I went out to lunch with my visitng teacher to La Magdalena's. They have really good Mexican food.

3. Savannah and I went to pick up the kids on Friday evening. The kids were really excited about coming over.

4. I took the kids sledding for about 30 minutes and than they decided they were all done.

5. I went to the RS Christmas dinner and we made Christmas ornaments. The refreshments were delicious and I had a good time visiting with people. I don't get to do this too much now that I'm in Primary.

6. The family went to an open house/baby shower to wish the Waldron's off. They are expecting their 1st baby on Valentine's Day and want to live closer to family. It was nice to see everyone again from the old ward.

7. Frank was sick all week with a sore throat. He missed several days of work and is still trying to get everything setup like a phone systems, etc...All the office furniture is already move in.

8. Frank missed church and I had a radiation appointment in the morning. I drove the kids to church and we enjoyed some wonderful Christmas music. During Primary I forgot to bring back the Primary binderand I couldn't take attendance or assign talks out. I had to run back home and just barely had enough time to get the assignments out for the following week in Jr Primary. I finished updating all the forms and we handed out new cd's and candy canes to all the Primary children.

9. Sabrina and the kids came over for a nice visit on Sunday. We had dinner together and we were visited by a Secret Santa. He was from the ward however I don't know who he was. He dropped off popcorn, hot chocolate, and fancy chocolates. The kids all received about 3-4 gifts each. We allowed the kids to open up their gifts since we won't be together for Christmas this year. The kids will be with their mother this year.

10 We are getting all ready to leave tomorrow to drive down to TN to spend Christmas with my folks. We are busy cleaning, laundry, running errands and packing. I'm still trying to wrap up Christmas shopping. Thanks for all the Christmas cards everyone!

Christmas Time is Here Again

Savannah helped mommy decorate our mini Christmas tree this year. Okay well maybe she just sucked on the ornaments.

Poor Baby

Savannah got her 1st boo boo on her forehead.
I have no idea how she injured herself.

Ten for Tuesday

1. Frank moved into his new office in East Dundee. We moved in furniture and I helped unpack boxes and hung pictures on the wall.

2. We had a Christmas party on Saturday night with Frank's whole team. The food arrived late but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves once the party got started. He also held a planning session for his team for 2010. We hope to have a great year in the business!

3. I started my radiation appointments at 7 o'clock in the morning this week to help with babysitting Savannah. I now get home in time for Frank to head out to work. My days of sleeping in are all gone.

4. Only 9 more radiation treatments to go...Yippe!

5. Still trying to get Christmas shopping done...We leave next week for TN for Christmas

6. I had a presidency meeting on Sunday. We discussed the new agenda for Primary in 2010. I have been assigned to do the July quaterly activity. I have no idea what I am doing??? I have also been working on getting all the rosters updated.

7. I worked mostly all week on Frank's audit. I had to scan in all of the client files into a computer system. This was a ton of work. I'm happy to have it all completed. The audit seemed to go well yesterday.

8. For all of you who don't already know, Frankie ran away from him mom's house and was re-united with us late last night. We are happy to have him back home with us were he is safe and sound. He will be staying with us for now.

9. I went to playgroup at the church.

10. I went over to a friends house for dinner and than spent time just catching up on life.

Ten for Tuesday

1. I began my radiation treatments a week ago and have only 14 more to go. Yeah!!!

2. I went to playgroup at the church and visited with some friends.

3. The kids came over for the weekend and Sarah and I attended a Tupperware party. I didn't purchase anything on the spot but want to go back to purchase the Fridgesavers. They keep your fruits and vegetables much longer.

4. We went as a family to the ward Christmas party. It was a blast! We had a nice potluck dinner and the Primary kids sang a few songs. The kids all sat on Santa's lap and took photos. Savannah did a great job and just loved pulling on Santa's beard. They also had an orchestra/band concert and the choir sang a few songs. I would have liked to have participated in the program but I apparently missed the announcement in church.

5. Sarah took off to the Baker's house for a movie night. She had a great time spending time with her friends.

6. Frank and Frankie went home teaching on Sunday. We had FHE and than the kids went back home.

7. I went in for an ECHO today and I nearly missed the appointment. I woke up late and noticed that I had a 9am appointment scheduled. I had about a 30 minute commute in the snow and that only left 10 minutes to get ready. I literally went in my pj's and I barely had time to change the baby and put her in her car seat. We made it safely and was only 5 minutes late. The appointment went well and all the nurses were fawning over Savannah.

8. I headed over to get my allergy shots and than stopped at a friend's house for a quick visit. I than ran home and picked up a few things and than went to get another round of radiation. The nurses were nice and watched Savannah for me since I failed to get a babysitter. Oops!

9. I went and got an oil change and I was told by the mechanic that I needed another $700 in car repairs. Figures!

10. I helped Frank get ready for an audit coming up next week. Frank is also doing a job fair today and we are looking forward to moving into our new office in a couple of weeks.

One Happy Baby

A friend from church picked this exersaucer up from a garage sale for only $2.50. She gave it to Savannah as a gift. She is loving her new toy.

Ten for Tuesday

1. Today I begin radiation therapy. I have to go in for a dry run first than they will proceed with radiation. I'm thrilled to know that I will be done with radiation therapy by December 29th. I have a total of 20 treatments in all.

2. I went in for simulation at St. Alexius Hospital. The doctor explained the radiation process, Cat scan, and pinpointed some marks on my chest.

3. My doctor's office moved to Crystal Lake and they were packed full of patients due to the holiday week. I really liked the new office and went in for another Herceptin treatment. I will finish up with this treatment in August 2010.

4. I went to pick up the children on Tuesday evening for the holiday weekend.

5. We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at our house. We had several family members come over to eat dinner. The turkey this year was a little bit on the dryside and the duck turned out alright.

6. I saw a house fire this week while driving to pick up the kids. It was pretty intense but it looks like the house was only partially damaged.

7. Frank and I helped a friend this week by providing him a place to sleep. He is having martial problems. We celebrated his birthday on Sunday. I baked him a chocolate cake and we enjoyed some ice cream. This was a last minute party so we had to go with what we had in the house.

8. The home teachers came over on Sunday. We had a good visit and enjoyed some homemade banana bread.

9. Frank is getting ready to move his office to East Dundee. We had to pack up all of his office furniture and move it to a temporary storage location. Frank will be moving into his new office on December 15th.

10. I took Savannah in for her 6 month Christmas photo. The pictures turned out great and I also went and did a little shopping for me. I still have a few more pounds to lose from having the baby. I purchased a couple of new sweaters.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year we invited Frank's family over for Thanksgiving dinner. Frank cooked the entire meal and I was left with the cleanup. The meal was good except for the turkey being a little dried out. We purchased a 20 lb turkey and it was closer to the roof of the oven and cooked too long.

Radiation Update

I had my simulation appointment today for radiation therapy. The nurse did a cat scan and made a mold of my body. She also marked a few spots on my chest to start the process for radiation treatments. I have been told that I will only have 20 treatments instead of 32 treatments. This was great news to hear! I will be all done with radiation by the end of December. I'm looking forward to going back to work right after New Year's. I will than only have my final treatment which I'm hoping I can do around my work schedule.

Phase 3

I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday with my radiation doctor to go through simulation. I'm getting ready to start my radiation treatments on December 2nd. I have to undergo a CT scan and my doctor with tattoe my breast. He gave me two options which were to either have 4 small permanent marks on your chest or he can use a magic marker to mark the spot and cover it with a clear piece of tape to protect it from rubbing off. These marks help the doctor to only radiate a certain area of the breast. I will probably go with the semi permanent ink. I just don't want to be left with a constant reminder the rest of my life plus I'm afraid of needles. The doctor also makes a mold of your body to place you in each and every time you go there. They want to make sure that you don't move around. I will get treatments every day Monday thru Friday and anticipate being all finished by January 14th. The side effects could be sunburn, dry skin, discoloration of skin, and fatigue. I will be returning back to work middle of January.

Ten for Tuesday

1. My computer was plagued by a virus sent to us through Facebook. I wasn't too happy about this. The problem seems to be all fixed now.

2. Frank and I drove down to Atlanta, GA with a friend to attend a "Legacy Retreat". We had a great ride down and back up again. The baby did a great job in the car and slept most of the way. We stayed in a millionaires home and participated in an olympics. My team lost but Frank's team were the champs. We did a canoe race, golfing, football toss, and than a fishing derby. We enjoyed a BBQ afterwards and loved the nice warm weather.

3. We went to pick up a rental car on Thursday evening to only find out that they didn't have our reservation number listed in there computer system. We must have waited an hour until they could correct the problem. We did eventually get our minivan and than had to pick up a copier machine to drag down with us to Georgia. The manager decided to give us a discount on the rental.

4. The kids came over last weekend and were complaining about having a sore throat. I managed to contract the same virus and now I'm coughing, sore throat, and I have lost my voice. I'm starting to feel better today.

5. I've been having trouble with keeping the baby asleep at night. I received some good advice this weekend from a friend and decided to try it out on Savannah. She cried last night for about 45 minutes and eventually went back to sleep. She slept the whole rest of the night. I believe if I can keep this up than she will be back to sleeping through the night soon. I think she became too dependent on falling asleep to the bottle.

6. The kids missed a few days of school last week. Sarah attended seminary for the very first time and really enjoyed it. I wish she could go all the time. We drove the kids back to school on Thursday and than they returned back home.

7. Savannah started making the "DaDa" sound on Sunday night and now Frank is all thrilled that she is calling for him. I think she is just exploring a new sound with her mouth.

8. I missed my playgroup yesterday from being sick. I did receive a call from the Primary president asking what happened to me because I also missed out on a presidency meeting.

9. Savannah is getting ready to start crawling. She has started getting up on her knees and is beginning to rock back and forth. She still doesn't have any teeth yet.

10. Have a good week everybody I'm out of things to say....

Eleven for Tuesday

1. I finished my LAST chemo treatment last week. I'm so excited to be all done with the hard stuff. My appointment went very well and all the nurses were giving me hugs afterwards. My doctor's office is moving closer to my work and they will be able to accommodate my work schedule when I return back to work in January. Radiation treatments begin on December 2 for 6 1/2 weeks.

2. I went to a play group on Thursday afternoon to the McDonald's playplace. I was running late but still had a nice time visiting with all the kids and parents. The youngsters all wanted to play with Savannah and feed her a bottle and hold her.

3. I went to Walgreen's to print off some pictures of Savannah and ended up waiting a long time to get to the photo machine. I wasn't too happy about this but I didn't want to come back so I waited patiently. I went back after play group to pick up my photos.

4. I came home and I scrapbooked all night long (literally). I was unstoppable because I completed 16-17 new pages. I need to go buy some more refills to put them in my scrapbooks.

5. The older kids spent the night at Sabrina's house on Friday. The kids mother went on a cruise and we are keeping the kids for the rest of the week. I convinced Frank to keep the kids out of school Monday thru Wednesday due the hardship of having to drive them everyday.

6. I took Savannah in for her 6 month doctor visit. She is currently 15 lbs 8 oz and 26inches long. She received all of her shots including the H1N1 shot. I didn't want to get this shot for her but the doctor strongly recommended it. She has started to get up on her knees and is getting ready to start crawling. Still no signs of any teeth although she is drooling a lot and constantly putting things in her mouth to chew on. We continue to feed her baby foods. She really likes carrots.

7. I had a consultation with Dr. Boyer on Tuesday for radiation therapy. He went into detail about the treatments and what to expect in the next couple of weeks. The doctor wants to wait 4 weeks from the last chemo treatment to allow my body to heal itself. Still no real signs that my hair is coming back only peach fuzz. I should start growing some hair growth soon.

8. I met with my chemo doctor today and he said that everything looked great. I have to schedule another echocardigram to see how my heart is functioning. I will continue to receive my Herception treatments every 3 weeks.

9. I went to the Chicago temple on Friday night and we did a session together. It was nice to get together.

10. On Saturday morning I went to the Woodfield Mall and I helped a friend do some shopping. We hung out afterwards for lunch at my house.

11. I watched Sabrina's kids yesterday and that was a crazy day. It's not easy having 3children all under the age of 3 years old. Elena helped me cook dinner and we baked cookies together.

6 Months Old

My precious baby Savannah turns 6 months old today. She has been such a blessing to our family. She is a very happy baby and is ALWAYS smiling. Everyone tells me what a good baby she is and how easy she is to take care of. Savannah has really helped me get through all of my chemotherapy treatments. She is not afraid to go to anyone and loves to roll around on the floor. She is getting good at standing up with assistance. She has started eating baby foods. She really seems to like peas. I recently discovered she loves playing with balls. She gets really excited when the ball is being rolled to her. She is no longer sleeping through the night. She is getting up several times a night now (possibly teething). I'm not sure what happened to her sleeping 10-11 hours at night. She babbles a lot and is getting good at her small motor skills. She is at an age where she can just play with her toys and gives mommy a little break. I can't believe how old my baby is. I love this stage of life!

Nine on Tuesday

1. I went in for chemo treatment #11 last Wednesday. It went pretty good although my nurse was home sick with her child. I had a different nurse helping me with my treatment. 1 more to go!!!

2. On Thursday I took Savannah down to the SpringHill Mall to do some trick or treating. I dressed her up as a little pumpkin this year. She looked so cute!

3. On Friday night we had planned to do a Halloween party at the office. It was pretty much a waste of time. We had about 15-17 people show up including kids and we watched scary movies and sang karoke. We didn't get a lot of participation on the vocals. We pigged out on candy and junk food and just enjoyed our company.

4. On Saturday evening we had our ward truck or treat party. It was a total blast! We had a chili fest and hot dogs for the little kids. Afterwards we had a parade of all the kids who dressed up in costumes. They gave away homemade cookies, caramel apples, and other goodies. The kids enjoyed cotton candy and walked around the builing collecting lots of candy. They also had a candy walk and haunted house. It was a very fun night and I'm glad that we were able to attend.

5. One of my best friends moved back to Meridian, ID this week. I will miss her! Hopefully I can visit her when I go back west to visit with family.

6. Frank wasn't feeling good on Sunday afternoon so we just spent a lazy day just relaxing.

7. Yesterday my playgroup was cancelled so I decided to head over to a friends house from the ward. We ate leftover chili and played with our kids.

8. Frank is currently looking to move his office down the street into a new complex. Hopefully we will get into this new place by December.

9. I ran out of things to say for once...Have a nice week guys!

Trunk or Treat

This year Frank and I took Savannah to the ward trunk or treat. The night turned out to be a total blast. We enjoyed a chili fest and than had hot dogs for the little kids. They even provided a cotton candy machine. The kids participated in a Halloween parade. I took Savannah around for people to admire her. Afterwards they handed out a caldron filled with goodies. The kids went door to door and did some trick or treating. They had so much candy left over that they kept trying to pawn it off to anyone who would take it. They also had a haunted house and Savannah did a great job and didn't get scared at all. They had a candy walk and had some coloring for the older kids at the party. They topped it all off and gave away some candied apples and homemade cookies. This was a really fun night and I'm glad that I could share this with my family.

My Little Pumpkin

Ten for Tuesday

1. I went in for chemo treatment #3 on Wednesday. I started to feel some numbness in my big toe. This is a common side effect to the chemotherapy. I'm so excited that I only have 2 more treatments to go. Yeah!

2. My friend Jackie and I went shopping for Savannah. We stopped at Carter's and I found a couple of really cute outfits. I needed more winter clothes for the next couple of months.

3. I stopped at JcPenny's and I purchased a few pairs of jeans for the baby. I received a message on the PA system that I had lost my car keys. Apparently I left them on the truck of my car. Luckily for me someone turned them in and we were able to make it back home safely.

4. I spent the day with my friend Jackie and than I went to pick up the kids. I came back so that the boys could play some video games together. We headed home and spent some time with Frank.

5. On Saturday I took the kids over to play in the stake volleyball tournament. The boys won the tournament and the girls did a good job winning one and losing the other game. The kids were hesitant in going but had a great time. The leaders served pizza after it was all over.

6. Sarah and I went over to Wendy's house and we made sugar cookies and than decorated them. We had to run out to purchase some vanilla. I noticed that the grocery store had pumpkins on sale so I purchased 4 pumpkins for only $3.50 a piece.

7. We went to the Bloomingdale ward to attend a chili fest. Before it started I ran across the street to Micheals to make a return for my friend. The party was a blast and there were many different chili's to taste. I ate way too much and than we had some yummy dessert. They had trick or treating afterwards for the children.

8. I met a woman from this ward who was recently diagnoised with having lung cancer and I got to share my story with her. She has a 75% chance of having a reoccurence. I felt bad for her but very grateful about my own situation.

9. We had our Primary program at church. We were running a little late getting to church but made it shortly after it started. The kids a great job and I was very proud of them.

10. We carved pumpkins as a family. It was nice to have Frank there to share in the experience with us.

Ten for Tuesday

1. I completed chemo treatment #4 and I only have a few more weeks until I'm all finished with that portion of my treatments.

2. I went to see my breast surgeon to do another breast exam. I had a small medical concern posed to me by my chemo doctor. He wanted me to have it checked out. My breast surgeon ordered up an ultrasound and I went to the hospital and found out it was nothing. The medical doctor at the hospital didn't find any more cancer which was a relief.

3. I attended a Pampered Chef party on Thursday night. I really enjoyed getting together with my friends from the old ward.

4. On Sunday we held our primary rehearsal for next Sunday's performance. It was long and the kids did a great job. I'm looking forward to the big event!

5. I had a presidency meeting to discuss the needs of our Primary.

6. Frank and I took Savannah to the pumpkin patch this weekend. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed some hot apple cider and we came away with
an apple pie that was to die for...yummy

7. Frank and I drove over to a friends house for dinner. My friend Devin gave us an exersauer for the baby. She also had a cute pumpkin costume that she loaned to me for Halloween.

8. I have a new visiting teacher and she will by stopping tonight.

9. The weather has been very nice this week.

10. We had our home teacher come over for a visit. He is wonderful and we love having a steady home teacher since we hadn't had one for awhile.

This year we took Savannah to Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch. It couldn't have been a nicer day outside. There were pony and camel rides, and a haunted house. Frank and I enjoyed yummy hot apple cider and purchased an apple pie that was just delicious! Savannah enjoyed walking around with mommy and people watching.

Random Pics

Ten for Tuesday

1. I went in for my 5th chemo treatment. I met a girl named Margie who was beginning her chemo treatments and she was interested in meeting me. The nurse had told her about and apparently she is around the same age as I and has a five month old son. We have a similiar history. I was happy to be there for her even though I had to leave shortly after meeting her. I will get to see her again tomorrow. It's nice to have people around to help you get through this.

2. I'm starting to feel the side effects to the chemotherapy. I have been more faitgued and sore muscles. I'm a little nervous about how the next month will be on my body. Wish me luck!

3. Frank has been very busy at work and he recently did another job fair and has a bunch of potential clients/recruits. I hope this will result in some good payoffs. He recently became a branch manager in Rockford. He will be moving his office soon to help us save money.

4. I spent the whole day on Saturday running errands with a few friends. Afterwards we went back to her house and just visited with one another.

5. Frank wasn't feeling good and he stayed home from church. I still went with Savannah and really enjoyed the testimonies. I'm currently getting ready for the Primary program on Oct 25th.

6. We had dinner guests on Sunday evening and Frank cooked his famous spaghetti. We had a great time visiting and played a game of Pegs and Jokers.

7. I went to the dentist on Monday morning. I failed to call anyone to watch Savannah and had to find someone right away. I was lucky enough to find a babysitter last minute. I went and had my temporary crown fixed and than he repaired a seperate tooth that was missing a piece.

8. I managed to do some more scrapbooking and completed another 8 pages. I love saving memories. I also started a journal on the computer so I can eventually scrapbook all of Savannah's firsts.

9. I went to IKEA with my friend Jackie and we did a little shopping and than we went to eat at La Madgalena's. The food was delicious as usual. I'm going to miss my friend who is moving back to the Meridian/Eagle area in Idaho. I guess I will have to come back out for a visit in the near future.

10. Savannah is rolling around a lot now and was just found choking on a piece of paper. That was definately scary! I guess I better keep a closer eye on my baby. She was actually found scooting around on the floor on Saturday. She will be crawling any day now. She is having a hard time sleeping at night. I need to feed her more food at night.

2. I took Savannah in for her 4 month check up with doctor Rosewell. She told me that she grew an inch and gained another 3 pounds. She is currently 13 almost 14 pounds and 24 inches long. She is doing a good job playing with her toys. Savannah is doing well sitting up with assistance and holding her own neck. She is moving around a lot now and constantly flipping over. She tends to get a little fustrated on her belly and hasn't learned quite yet how to turn herself back over. She is officially 5 months old.

3. We switched weekends with Joy and we had the kids again this weekend.

4. Sarah was a little bummed she couldn't go over to the Baker's house for general conference and to visit with her friends. She was in trouble for getting a couple of bad grades in school. She doesn't seem to be liking High School this year.

5. Frank's car needed a brake job so I took the car over to a friends house to help us save on money. He replaced them as a favor to us. I was very appreciative for all of his hard work.

6. On the way home even though it was cold and rainy outside Sarah decided to roll the window down in Frank's car and the motor died so the window got stuck. I had to try to keep the baby warm and drive all the way back home. I was not happy about.

7. We had to keep the rain out of the car for a couple of days and hope that the car didn't get stolen. Frank had to take the door apart and disconnect the motor and manually pull thc e window back up. We will eventually have to replace the window motor.

8. Sarah and I went over to my friends house for her daughters 12th birthday party. We enjoyed some Asian food and had a good time.

9. We went over to Wendy's house to eat dinner and to watch Dance Flick. The movie was funny however very raunchy at times. I did however learn how to cook lemon chicken.

10. We watched general conference and really enjoyed all of the talks.

11. I went to the dentist and learned that I broke a piece off of my temporary crown. I have to go back next Monday to have it repaired. I also lost part of another tooth which needs a partial filling. I wondered why food kept getting stuck in between my gums. Ouch!!!

Ten for Tuesday

1. I went into the doctor's office for chemo treatment #7 just after I returned back home from Idaho. All went well this week with my treatment and I'm officially 1/2 through this treatment. No side effects yet.

2. Sabrina decided this week she wanted to spend the entire weekend with our family. She drove the kids over on Friday night. My house was a little chaotic with all the kids.

3. We had a great time visiting with family and on Saturday night we rented the movie "Wolverine". Sabrina went to pick up Ricardo and they came over and join us for dinner. She cooked a nice birthday dinner for her dad. We ate cake and ice cream afterwards.

4. We all went to church the following day and just barely made it on time. Frankie gave his first talk at church on Honesty and he did a great job!

5. I missed the Woman's Broadcast due to the birthday dinner. I heard there were some really good talks given.

6. The weather has taken a turn for the worse and become cold already. I guess you could say that Fall has arrived. I just had to turn on the heat today.

7. I decided to walk in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Race in Chicago. I called up a couple of close friends from church and they joined me. We carpooled and made it in really good time. We registered the day of and walked around to all the different booths. They had a ton of giveaways and loud music playing and dancing. The survivors had a special breakfast and you could join in a special parade. I opted out of the parade since I have just begun my journey. All the participants had been cancer free for a longer time than me.

8. The race began and we walked with a lot of people in Grant park. I ran into a woman who started talking to me and gave me some words of encouragement. It was neat to see all of the cancer survivors. When I arrived at the halfway point and could see the finish line I started to see runners finishing up the race. The clock said 29minutes which reminded me of Lara. This is the same time that she can run the race in. It was a special moment to me! Maybe next year I will run the 5k race, I will start getting in shape.

9. I ran out of things to say...Have a good week!

Breast Cancer Walk

Today I participated in the Susan G Komen breast cancer walk in Chicago. I decided to go last minute and was able to rally together a couple of my friends from church. We woke up really early and drove downtown. They had music and dancing and lots of booths setup with a bunch of giveaways. The race began and it was a really good workout. There was a good turn out and plenty of people participated. There was a special breakfast for cancer patient survivors.
