Chicago Temple

This summer we attended a wedding for Frank's best friend and had an opportunity to visit the Chicago Temple. It was nice to take Savannah back to the temple. We had fun visiting the temple grounds.

Las Vegas Baby

After we visited family California we ventured over to Las Vegas for the WFG Convention. We stayed at the MGM hotel and Frank attended the various meetings and Savannah and I swam in the pool everyday. We visited the M&M World store, Freemont Light Show, Mojave Desert, an exclusive party and did some sight seeing at the various casinos.

California Trip

This is one of the posts that I couldn't upload while my blog was down over the summer. I still wanted to have this trip documented. Here is some of the fun we had at Aunt Julie's house and visiting the Natural Bridges State Park.

Monkey Joe's

Today I decided to take Savannah over to Monkey Joe's. She was really tired this afternoon when I went to pick her up from the babysitters house. She fell asleep on the car ride over. She only napped for about 30 minutes. When I stopped the car she woke up and knew we had reached our destination. She had wanted to go all day long and was really looking foward to it. She refused to wear a wrist band that was required to be worn in the facility. I made her wear it on her wrist and she tried ripping it off. The lady gave her a new band and taped it to her back. She felt the band get placed on her back and started throwing a huge tantrum. I insisted she wear it per company policy. I even tried moving it  up higher on her back so she couldn't reach it. I watched her throw a tantrum for about 20 minutes, huge tears and lots of pouting. I tried ignoring her and thought she would get over it. Nope I was wrong little miss stubborn pants refused to quit making a scene. Several parents and kids came up to her trying to see if she was alright. Finally this one mom came over and told me to just take off the tag even if it was against the rules. I was reluctant  to do so at first. We did come to have some fun and I didn't want to waste my money so I proceeded to remove the sticker off of her back. Savannah immediately started to calm down and went about having fun in all the bouncy houses. She loved this place to death  and played for a solid two hours straight. She has no fear!!!

Happenings for the Week

HOORAY! School finally starts tomorrow and I couldn't be more happier. I messed up the start date for Frankie and unforunately am not very prepared. I still need to purchase school supplies. The kids both start very early this year but will get out before everyone else.

Frank has been very busy working on the buildout at the office. We all went down yesterday to help push the process along. All that is left is a little more sanding of the walls, trim and based boards, and painting...We also need to clean the carpets once everything is dusted off. This is an expansion on the current office space. I'm proud of my husband! He is an amateur and did a great job. This will be a nice addition and some extra income coming in.

Sarah babysat for her mother on Friday night and than helped a friend move on Saturday. I stopped off at the park  and let Savannah play for a little while. There was this one little kid who kept throwing water at her and was a bully some other kids at the park. He couldn't have been more than 5 years old but was pretty naughty. I yelled at the kid once when I saw Savannah running away from him as he splashed her with a cup of water. The second time it happened a pregnant mother got up out of her seat and started yelling at this kid and made him come over to apologize to her. I was happy she came to my rescue. She caught him doing it before I had a chance to look up. He started making Savannah cry and after it was all said and done he didn't even want to apologize. What a little brat! He eventually came over to say he was sorry.

Afterwards we headed over to the office to help Frank on the office buildout. Sarah was scheduled to get her Patriachal blessing. The blessing was really long and one part scared her but all the rest of it was very good.

Frankie is all signed up for seminary again this year. Last two years were horrible and I don't predict this year will be any different. He has received no credit or recognition since he has started seminary...How embarrassing! He pretty much doesn't do anything and refuses to go so it is a major battle on a daily basis. Frank bless his heart keeps pushing him to go every year.

The kids just came back from High Adventure. Frankie said it was torture for teenage boys and Sarah loved it! I'm glad we made them both go to camp this year. Frankie went to Isle Royale and Sarah went up to Boundry Waters. They both went on the same week and it was the best week of summer for me. It was so nice and tranquail!

I went in for my temple recommend interview and still need to get one more signature from the stake president.
