Pumpkin Carving

Savannah didn't like getting her hand dirty
All I could find at the grocery store were these little pumpkins
Little Miss scooping out the seeds with a spoon
This was her attempt to get the seeds out of the pumpkin without getting dirty
Mommy had to finish the job
Savannah trying to put the cutout pieces back into the pumpkin
                                                                  Finished product

Work Halloween Party

This is Savannah's favorite doll right now since she is really into Cinderella. She carries her around like she is her baby. Aunt Jenny did an awesome job on the costume!
Getting ready to sing karaoke which never ended up happening because we were missing the cord that connects to the video
Getting all excited to start the trick or treating in the office
All smiles and this bowl was filled to the Max by the time we left the party
                                                      Looking for even more candy
Can't decide on which candy to eat first
Sorry dad I'm the boss now
Going door to door collecting all her goodies
Savannah wasn't even scared to see what was behind the curtain

Tom's Pumpkin Farm

This year we decided to try a new pumpkin farm and I absolutely fell in love with it. We ventured over with Frank's family to Tom's Pumpkin Farm. They had a rope spider web that you could climb up. The kids entertained themselves with corn mazes, wooden train, climbing on hay stacks, petting zoo, driving mini tractors, and playing in the silo full of corn. It was so amazing and I can't wait to go back there. I could hardly pull Savannah away when it was closing time.

Happenings for the Week

1.  The kids have Homecoming this week at school. They go to separate schools and Sarah stayed with her mother last night to attend the football game and Frankie went to his own game. Both of the kids are attending the dance tonight. Sarah is getting dropped off at our house once the dance ends.

2. We are all looking forward to seeing General Conference..at least the adults are. We are planning on having a big breakfast tomorrow and just spending time together as a family.

3. Savannah gave down ill this week with the flu. Not fun cleaning up puke!! We have been nursing her back to health.  I came down sick also and have been feeling all shaky and weak as a result.

4. My parents mission is finally over. They flew Jenny out to Africa 3 weeks ago and completed there last week on the mission and than went sight seeing in So Africa, Kenya and headed back over to England. They flew back in Washington DC last night and will visit Barbara for a couple of days and than head back home on Monday. Yeah what a relief!! It felt weird to talk to them over the phone.

5. We celebrated Customer Service Appreciation week at work. We played games, enjoyed a cookout, received treats every day and got to wear jeans all week. It was lots of fun! We had a mini carnival on Friday. The top three winning teams participated in a food fear factor. I'm glad that my team lost.

6. Last week I took Savannah and her friend Hailey to Monkey Joe's and the kids had a blast. It's a bounce house for little kids.

7. A couple of weeks ago Frankie had hernia surgery and seems to be healing nicely. He is almost back to his normal self.

8. Fall is officially here and the weather has taken a turn for the worse and has become cold. Burr!

Pumpkin Farm

Today was very cold outside but I decided to get out of the house and ventured down to Randy's pumpkin farm. We didn't stay long however I did get a few pictures. I purchased tickets for Savannah to go on some of the carnival rides and she decided after the fact to not ride any of them and I couldn't get my money back. I will have to attempt to go back and use them or will have to give them away to a friend. What a bummer!
