Ten on Thursday

Savannah tried sneeking away in daddy's suitcase

1. My life has been busier more than ever now that I went back to work and Frankie moved in with us. It's not easy being a full time mother, employee and taking care of a teenager, baby and a husband.

2. Frank went and enrolled Frankie in school on Monday at Eishenhower Jr High School. He seems to really like his new school and has already made a few new friends in the neighborhood. He seems happier living with us now. Frank has been driving him to school in the mornings but I think Frankie wants to take the bus.

3. He missed the bus the first day because he was taking his sweet time getting his coat on in the morning. Frank had to drive him to school which is less than 2 miles away. I hope to be able to get him a bike to ride during the springtime.

4. My babysitter for Savannah bailed on me on Sunday evening. She finally found a job and can't help me out anymore. I will have Frank watch her during the days and than have Frankie watch her for me until I get home from work. This will help us save money.

5. Frank left for Tampa, Florida on Wednesday evening and arrived safely today. He is attending the Wealth Bowl for WFG. His whole team carpooled down to the event. He will be home on Sunday evening. I miss him already!

6. I received my first paycheck from work however I didn't realize that they were going to hold back 2 weeks of pay and I only got paid for 4 days of work. This totally throws off my bills and now I will have to pay late until I can get caught back up. I was hoping to not have any lagtime between pay cycles.

7. Savannah and I are both recovering from our severe colds. We both stayed home from church on Sunday.

8. Today I dropped Savannah off at the babysitters. Frank being out of town left my stranded.

9. I worked overtime on Saturday and than I ran errands in the afternoon.

10. Congradulations to Jeremy and Cameo on the birth of their first born son. He is so handsome!

10 for Tuesday

1. They kids came over for a visit this weekend. On Friday night the kids went over to Sabrina's house for a sleepover and than I went to pick them up the next morning at Sabrina's work.

2. I started getting sick on Thursday after being back to work for only a week. It started as a sore throat and has gotten progressively worse as time goes on. I have a terrible cough and running nose.

3. I wasn't feeling very good today so I went home early from work. I tried to get into to see the doctor however the doctor went home early. I decided to go to CVS instead and used their Minute Clinic. The nurse helped me out and told me that I had an upper respitory infection and I would just need to drink lots of fluids and get some rest. She gave me some medication to help calm down my cough.

4. I took Sarah on a mini shopping spree for her birthday. She enjoyed spending her money.

5. I took Sarah over to a friend's house for her birthday. Apparently she and her best friend have birthdays all in the same week so they celebrated together.

6. On Sunday I had a teacher development meeting to attend after church.

7. We had the family over that evening to celebrate Sarah's birthday. We had a couple of last minute cancellations but it was still a nice turn out. I made her a birthday cake and we enjoyed some ice cream.

8. Frankie moved in with us this week permanantly. We are having him pulled out of his old school and enrolling him into a new school in Hoffman Estates tomorrow. We are hoping this new environment will be better for him.

9. I still hadn't received my new debit card in the mail so I went down to Chase bank and found out that it was never sent out. I'm still awaiting my new card in the mail.

Ten on Thursday

1. Things have been pretty hectic around here ever since I returned back to work. Savannah loves her new babysitter Catalina and is getting to spend more time with daddy. I still really miss her during the day. The few hours at night just don't seem to be enough quality time with her.

2. Sarah just turned 15 years old this week. I can't believe how time flies! One more year until she will be driving.

3. I went in for a cancer treatment on Friday of last week. It was nice to get to visit with all the nurses again. I only have 10 more to go.

4. Frank and I went out on a date to Applebee's. They were offering a great deal one appetizer and two entrees for $20. This was the first time that we have ventured out together in a long time.

5. Frank continues to be really busy at work these days and I haven't seen him for awhile. It was nice to relax together and catch up on things.

6. I had a Primary presidency meeting on Sunday.

7. I was a little disappointed about not receiving my first paycheck while being back to work. Apparently I will have a large check on my next pay period.

8. I'm still waiting for my new debit card in the mail. I think it may be lost...I'm wondering if it went to my old address and in that case I will never receive it. I will have to call the bank tomorrow.

9. I'm excited that I was able to get my vacation time approved for Christmas 2010. I thought I was going to be out of luck seeing how I was not working for so long. You have to ask early because their are only limited spots available.

10. The weather is still cold and snowy outside. I can't wait for my birthday! (springtime)

Eight Months Old

Savannah just turned eight months old and is really active now. She is constantly crawling around the house and loves to pull herself up on all the furniture. Auntie Jenny recently tried teaching Savannah how to walk over Christmas vacation. She will walk around the house with assistance. She is very curious about everything and is constantly getting into trouble. She is a determined little girl when she wants something. She loves taking baths and playing with her toys. We are trying to teach her the word "NO" and "STOP". She continues to smile at everyone and is the happiest baby on the planet!

10 for the week

1. My mom mailed me back my car keys and I still couldn't get into my mailbox seeing how the mail key was on that same ring of keys. I went down to the rental office and they gave me a spare key and I was able to get the mail and keys out of my mailbox. I was very grateful I didn't have to spend the $10 to make a duplicate key.

2. The next couple of days went by and I realized that I was missing my drivers license and ATM card. To this day it is still a mystery where I placed both of those cards. I ended up reporting my ATM card lost and am waiting for a new one in the mail.

3. I had to go down to the DMV on Monday morning to get a replacement. The wait time was not too bad and I went to purchase the license and I realized that I left my checkbook at home. Frank had to run real quick to a gas station and get me some cash out of the ATM machine. I waited for them to print me off a new one. I was happy I didn't have to retake my picture.

4. On Monday morning I walked out to my car to find a ticket on my windshield. Apparently I didn't have my Village of Schaumburg sticker posted on my car and they slapped me with a $40 fine. I went back and pulled my bank records and saw that I paid for the renewal sticker back in April 2009. I went down to pay the $10 to replace the sticker and I'm currently in the process of disputing this ticket. I hope that they will dismiss the charges and clear my name.

5. The kids came over for the rest of Christmas break. I spent most of my time with them running them around to all the stores to spend their Christmas money and GC. I also made a bunch of returns and exchanges at the mall.

6. On New Year's Eve we went over to Frank's sisters house to ring in the New Year. Savannah stayed up till about 10pm because she slept in the car ride over. We played three card poker and we watched the hockey game.

7. Frankie had a friend spend the night on Saturday and than he went to church with us the next morning. We drove him home after church.

8. I started work on Monday and have been in training all week long. They are gradually working me back into collections. They have made many new changes and I'm trying to remember everything from before plus intergrate the new stuff that's changed. It feels good to be back however I really miss Savannah. I feel like I don't get enough time with her anymore.

9. I continue to work on updating all the Primary files and just have to print them off for Sunday.

10. Frank was assigned a new Sunday School class and really seems to like his new class.

New Year's Eve 2009

This year we went over to Auntie Dawn's house to ring in the New Year. Savannah loved playing with Dawn's new puppies. We watched the Blackhawks game on TV and yes they smoked the New Jersey team. Afterwards we played three card poker and watched the ball drop at midnight. Good food, entertainment and company. We are looking forward to a blessed 2010.
