Ten on Sunday

1. On Thursday I took the day off from work and I went on a couple of doctor's appointments. I dropped Savannah off late to the babysitters house and than went to my 6 mos appt for my mammogram. The test results came back normal with no changes. I officially hit my 3 year mark and was very relieved with my results. I now have to go once a year for the rest of my life YIPPEE!

2. Frank and I have been working feverishly on the house getting it ready for the party. We re-painted Frankies room and patched and re-painted the hallway. I have been busy trying to get the yard all cleaned up, killing weeds and laying down wood chips in my flower bed. I'm considering hiring some local help to improve the lawn and tidying up the yard. My goal is to start working on planting a garden.

3. On Friday my baby girl turned 3 years old and Frank purchased her a mini chocolate cake for her birthday and than we took her out to dinner to Chili's. The next day we held a huge birthday party for Savannah. It was a major success and I was very grateful for all the help I received from Frank's family.

4. The weather was less than desirable and we all ended up inside the house which was a nightmare but we all survived. We enjoyed blowing bubbles with the kids and had a pinata. We finished off the day with some cake, ice cream and pizza. Savannah received a ton of gifts at her party. She loved the Dora cake that I purchased for her and she was so happy which melted my heart.

5. After we cleaned up the party I broke out the Dora bedroom set and put her toddler bed together. A friend from church was moving and gave me a really nice toddler bed for free (solid wood). She loved it and even slept in it last night and never got out of the bed once. I did have to bride her with toys to keep her happy but it worked. I just have to  keep it up. She insisted upon sleeping at the foot of the bed...silly kid!

6. Frank took down the old crib and put together Savannah's scooter which she lives to ride around on.

7. Frank left this morning to collect fast offerings for the church. He left the envelopes at his office and had to take a little drive out there. He came to church a little bit late and stayed afterwards for a baptism and linger longer. I was not aware of this event and missed it. Oops!

8. Sarah managed to put a big scratch on Frank's car yesterday. She was trying to straighten out her seatbelt while driving and side swiped the car. Sarah is going to help Frank in the office over the summer to pay him back for the damages.

9. I received recognition for a contest that I won at work. This will be my fifth award and the most out of everyone in the office. I have a lot of competition at work and pulled out ahead of everyone else. There was a lot of jealousy amoungst my co workers in April.

10. Frank and I are planning on heading out to California next month. I hope to be able to visit with everyone again.

Just playing around

Savannah's 3rd Birthday

My beautiful baby girl turned 3 years old on Friday. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I love watching her grow into this little person with whom I love with all my heart. She is so full of love and energy.  She truly is the light in my life. I thank God everyday for sending me this precious gift from heaven.

Today was Savannah's big birthday party. Mommy has been planning this party for weeks. All week the weather forecast predicted high 70's and sunny skies. The day of the party was a different story, cloudy and only in the mid 60's. My original plan was to have the party outside. I had invited a ton of guests to the party.I was only going to use the house as a back up.  I had a great turn out and was very grateful for all didn't show up because the house was already packed full of people. I wanted to have a friends party this year and couldn't stand the the idea of not inviting family over. Everyone arrived on time and we started off by blowing bubbles outside and than everyone enjoyed some yummy pizza. Afterwards we headed outside to hit the cupcake pinata. I didn't think this pinata was ever going to break especially with little kids. It took an adult to break open the pinata. After collecting all the candy off the grass we headed inside for cake and ice cream. This was truly the best moment of the party. She was so excited about this cake and had the biggest reaction. Everyone sang Happy Birthday to Savannah. We ended all the excitement by opening up presents. We were running a little over schedule at this point. Savannah opened up her presents feverishly and just tossed the clothes to the side. Savannah made out like a bandit this year. She received a ton of present: clothes, Disney princess scooter, books, playdoh set,  Dora Mermaid doll, doctor set, Dora lego set, princess tent, Little People camping set, horse (stuffed animal included a purse), and a mini princess barbie doll set. The next biggest excitement of the day was getting out the toddler bed. I recently purchased a Dora bed spread set for her and she absolutely loves it. She must have stayed in the bed for an hour just playing around on it. I still have to take down the crib and rearrange the bedroom. The real test will come tonight when it is time to go to sleep. Overall the day was completed by a day at the park playing in the sand. We love you Savannah babies!!!
