Easter Egg Hunt

This year Sarah was at her mom's house for Easter. I made up a lot of candy eggs this year. I was excited to have an Easter Egg Hunt in my new backyard...ignore all the weeds in the yard. Savannah was super excited this morning about another Easter Egg Hunt and did most of the work herself this time along with Frankie's help. She was excited with her Easter basket and new toys. She wore her Easter dress to church (sorry no pictures)...We are now getting ready to enjoy a nice Easter dinner and spending time together as a family.

Easter Weekend

Let the Egg Hunt begin

Savannah was having trouble standing still with all the other 2-3 year olds...Here she is in anticipation of the Easter Egg Hunt to begin

As soon as the Easter Egg Hunt began Savannah refused to pick up any of the eggs and started pouting and throwing a fit. Needless to say Mommy had to grab a few eggs around her and put them in her bag so she wouldn't have to leave empty handed. After she was done having her little fit the eggs were all gone and she missed out. Maybe next year she will do better!!

After we arrive home we started working an decorating Easter shaped cookies. Mommy cheated this year and purchased a pre packaged kit. I had to help her ice the cookies and she enjoyed putting the sprinkles and candies on the cookies.

Here is her first attempt at putting the icing on the cookies. This turned out to be too hard for Savannah.

Decorating the cookies

Yummy icing

Preparing to dye Easter eggs

Savannah enjoyed grabbing the eggs out of the dye

She was so proud of herself here...she put the eggs in the carton all by herself

The end result was some very stained hands after it was all over

SO proud of her accomplishment

Time to decorate the eggs with all her stickers

General Conference Breakfast

A Schoen family tradition is to watch General Conference from home. Savannah was very excited this year to help daddy cook breakfast for the family. Frank had an early morning appointment with the bishop and came home just as conference started. We loved listening to all the conference talks.
