Ten for Tuesday

1. Sarah returned back to her mother's house and started High School last week. She is a sophmore this year and is NOT looking forward going back to her school. Apparently she goes to school with a bunch a people she doesn't really care for. I told her that is just in a High School that's filled creeps.

2. Frankie is starting High School with us and will be a Freshman this year. Seminary starts next week and he is not looking forward to attending early morning seminary. It will be interesting to see how this will work out. Frank and his son are not morning people and it will be a struggle to get him up throughout the school year. Luckily I have a friend at church who has offered to drive him to school. The kids all go to the same school this year.

3. On Friday I was recognized for my five years of service at Honda and was presented with a plack. I will be receiving a gift from Honda once a decide what gift to pick from the catalog. I have been doing really well lately and have been rewarded with several jeans days and pizza lunches. It pays to be a good employee who works hard and is being recognized for my efforts.

4. Frank and I have been house shopping and will be moving in October. We don't have a lot of time and have to make a decision very quickly. We have a few bids on the table and we hope we will get something soon. We have outgrown our previous residence and our lease ends in September.

5. Frank is trying to get his series 65 license and failed the test by 1-2 questions. Now we will have to pay for him to retake the test. He didn't have much time to study and I am proud of his efforts. He was so close and can hopefully nail it on the next time.

6. Frankie went over to his mother's house this weekend. She didn't pick him up until Saturday afternoon and enjoyed his time with his mother. I worked in the morning and than went to pick up Savannah from her Auntie Dawn's house. They had a great time together and than we went home to go swimming.

7. I took Savannah to her 1st public pool and she liked it however our friends never showed up to go swimming with us. Apparently it was a lack of communication and she changed her plans. It was still fun spending time with my daughter. It was the last weekend the pool was supposed to be opened and a good day to cool off in the pool.

8. My best friend Heather brought her brand new baby Hailey over for a visit. It was nice to finally see her.

9. Frank watched Savannah so that I could go out with my friend Wendy for a girls night out. It was nice to go out without the baby. We went out to eat dinner at a Mexican restaurant and than we went to an old fashioned ice cream palor in Chicago. Afterwards we went to visit her boyfriend who is the GM to an AMC theater downtown. I was given a tour of the theater and got to see the behind the scenes action. It was interesting to see how they put films together and run the movies.

10. Our home teacher came over for a visit. I took Savannah in today to play for a few minutes in the nursery. I think will fit right in. She loves playing with the other kids and with with the toys. One of the kids pulled her hair right in front of me and I was shocked. Last week I found Savannah running around in sacrament with only half of diaper on. I was a bit embarrased but I don't think anyone so her with her diaper falling off. Just one of many stories to come I'm sure.

Eight for the Week

1. Frank and Frankie went down to St Louis on a business trip. Frankie missed out on scout camp this year because we confused the date of camp. Shortly after they came home Frank was on another flight out to Las Vegas. He attended the WFG World Convention for four days. He went to several workshops, seminars and training sessions. It ended with a big Gala and than he came home. I left all week with the kids.

2. Sarah went back to live with her mother. Frank and I are in the process of saving our money to purchase a new house. We are currently looking into moving to a new place in the near future. The end of our lease is in September and we have to move because our landlord is no longer renting his condo. I hope we can find something real soon. This came as unexpected news to me.

3. I went in for my FINAL Herceptin treatment this week. I'm so excited to be all finished. It still hasn't completely sunk in. I have been going for treatment for so long it just seems like I will be going back in a couple of weeks. I have to see my oncologist every three months for the next 8 months. Than it will be once every 6 months and will eventually drop off from there. I have another mammo and ultrasound scheduled for the end of the month. I hope all is clear and looks good. I don't want to have to go through another experience like this one ever again.

4. I had a follow up appointment with my allergist and I have switched to once every 6 months. I was in trouble for only going three times with year. I was supposed to go every month and apparently became lazy about going to get allergy shots. I feel better from when I once first started 6 years ago. I can't wait to get these over also.

5. Frankie was supposed to go over to his mother's house this weekend. He ended up going to Great America with his friend. He spent the night on Friday and has been gone all day. I'm happy that he is having a great time.

6. I had to work overtime this morning and than picked up the baby from the babysitters house. We headed over to my friends house for a playdate. I have developed a friendship with my oncology nurse and we have kids around the same age. We went to the beach and had a great time! Savannah just loves to go swimming and wasn't afraid of the water. She enjoyed playing in the sand and thoroughly enjoyed herself.

7. Frank and I and a couple of our friends went out to eat dinner in celebration of my last treatment. I went to my favorite Mexican restaurant.

8. I'm getting ready to register Frankie for High School and not looking forward to early morning seminary. I'm not looking forward to getting up early every morning to drive him. It will be a struggle to get the boy up inthe morning.
