My Holy Ghost

Two weeks ago Savannah came home from church talking about how she has a ghost in her tummy. I wasn't sure what she was talking about at first. Since we had just come home from church and she had colored a picture in class saying I have a body I proceeded to ask her if she had the Holy Ghost in her tummy and she replied "YES". I'm not sure what she learned in class but that is what she took away from her lesson. She keeps on telling everyone that she has a ghost in her tummy and acts as if she is carrying around a real baby like mommy. She tells me things like my holy ghost has the hiccups and is hungry, etc...I tried explaining to her what the Holy Ghost really is but she keeps believing that this is her own little baby in her belly. I just love having a three year old daughter and seeing how her imagination works!!

Discovery Center

Yesterday I took Savannah down to The Discovery Center with my friend Wendy and all the kids that she babysits for during the week. It was such a blast! Savannah had some much fun in the Tot Spot area. She refused to leave and cried when it was time to leave. She absolutely loves playing house! She is going to be such a great mommy when she grows up. It's so neat to see you child learn new things. I love watching her pretend play being a mommy.

Snow Day #2

Savannah took time out  before the museum and spent some time out in the snow with Frank. The snow was not good packing snow so they couldn't make a large snowman, instead it was snow ball fight and snow angels. Savannah is trowing a snowball at mommy while I was trying to take her picture.

Snow, Snow and more Snow!!!

Today I took time off from work and decided to spend some quality time with Savannah before the baby comes. To my surprise it snowed today. Savannah loves playing in the snow, we rolled a miniature snowman, and threw snow balls around and even did a little shoveling in the snow. Savannah's hands quickly turned cold ( as you can see I couldn't find her regular gloves and had to improvise.) This really is the first REAL snowfall we've had all year.

Ten for the Week

Here is a recap of our lives lately

1. We have been working with Savannah on her transition into Primary. I received praise from the entire Primary presidency today that she sat through the entire Sharing time. She keeps improving every week and is more willing to go on her own.

2. Sarah had moved in with us right after Christmas. Frank was doing his best to drive Sarah back and forth to McHenry every day. It was about a 45 minute drive one way and it was too hard to transport her. Sarah moved in with a friend so that she can still attend her High School and graduate in May.

3. Sarah just turned 18 years old back in January. Frank is planning on purchasing her a used vehicle for her present. She is looking forward to graduating and attending Jr college in the Fall. She wants to go to beauty school to make some extra income over the summer months.

4. Frankie is turning 17 years old tomorrow. We are celebrating the Super Bowl with some friends tonight. I'm making a chocolate cake and Frank is cooking him a nice steak dinner. Let's go 49's!!

5. Savannah recently had pink eye and an ear infection. Frank took her in for a follow up appointment with the doctor. I learned Savannah has gained 5 pounds since her last 3 year old appointment. I was pleased to see that she had an increase in weight. She is still measuring on the small side.

6. I will be turning 21 weeks pregnant on Tuesday. I have my 20 week appointment at the OB on Tuesday. I already found out the gender of the baby and will undergo some additional testing this week. I recently started feeling the baby on Wednesday night.

7. I have been busy going through my baby stuff and reorganizing Savannah's bedroom and purging some of her old clothes.

8. I finally was released from Primary after serving faithfully for the past 7-8 years.

9. Frank recently took my car into get the heater fixed and put on some new tires.

10. Looking forward to warmer weather! We recently had some snow fall and Savannah experienced her 1st time sledding. She didn't exactly like it.

20 Weeks Pregnant

I'm at the halfway mark of my pregnancy
