Ten for Tuesday

1. Frank and I just returned home from Las Vegas. He had a WFG convention and wanted to attend the event with me. Vegas was great I loved the sun and hot weather. I laid out by the poolside everyday without any kids. It was pure enjoyment and very relaxing. Frank attended the conference and enjoyed himself. I attended bits and pieces of the conference. This event was sold out and there were 40k people in attendance.

2. We were without a car in Vegas so we were at the mercy of other people to drive us around. We did get out of the casino for a little bit and went to the Freemont light show and ate dinner. We walked through a few casinos and watch the water show at night. We stayed in the MGM hotel. I didn't care for all the walking, casino atmosphere, smoking...etc

3. Frank did an awesome job this year and came away with 5 awards. This is the most I have ever seen him get all at the same event. Frank is opening up his 7th office in the last 1 1/2 years. He is starting to make a better money and will have a great year financially.

4. The kids stayed behind at my best friends house. Her husband is currently unemployed and was able to oversee things at the house. Sarah watched Savannah for me during the day. The older kids left on Friday night to go over to their mother's house.

5. Sarah made the decision to go back to live with her mother. She is starting the eleventh grade and wanted to mostly go back to be with her friends. Her mother's husband is looking for a job and could possibly be moving out of state in the future. Sarah would move in with us if this was the case. The future is still undetermined.

6. Frank went today to register Frankie for the tenth grade. He will be starting over this year at his new high school. This is the same school that I graduated from many many years ago. Apparently they built a new school 3-4 years ago and from what I hear it is really nice inside and has three stories and a football field. He wants to go out for sports and will be starting driver's ed this year. We may look into private lessons if the costs are too high at the high school.

7. The Village of Gilberts gave us a citation for the dirty pool in our backyard. I'm very annoyed because the previous owner left this mess for us to clean up. We have until August 12th to get it all cleaned up. Frank is jumping in literally and trying to scoop out all the leaves and sewage inside the pool. I hope we can get an extension seeing how we were out of town for a week. I can't imagine how much it would cost to have a professional come in to do the work. I'm sure it is not in our budget to afford.

8. On Sunday Frank and Frankie attended an ice cream social for seminary students. Frankie is not looking to school or seminary. This is not a surprise! Seminary starts at 5:30am which is thirty minutes sooner than last year. The good thing is seminary will be held at a members house which lives 5 minutes away and we are going arrange for him to leave from the teacher's house and catch the school bus.

9. We are mostly unpacked and continue to make little improvements on the house.

10. Frank was involved in a small fender bender with his new car. He thought the guy in front of him turned right on a red light and Frank rear ended him because he wasn't paying close attention. We have to get the insurance company involved to cover the damages to the gentleman's car. Frank had some front end damage and it wasn't bad enough to file a claim. He fixed it to the best of his ability. Maybe we can replace it somewhere down the line.
