Ten for Tuesday

1. Sarah returned back to her mother's house and started High School last week. She is a sophmore this year and is NOT looking forward going back to her school. Apparently she goes to school with a bunch a people she doesn't really care for. I told her that is just in a High School that's filled creeps.

2. Frankie is starting High School with us and will be a Freshman this year. Seminary starts next week and he is not looking forward to attending early morning seminary. It will be interesting to see how this will work out. Frank and his son are not morning people and it will be a struggle to get him up throughout the school year. Luckily I have a friend at church who has offered to drive him to school. The kids all go to the same school this year.

3. On Friday I was recognized for my five years of service at Honda and was presented with a plack. I will be receiving a gift from Honda once a decide what gift to pick from the catalog. I have been doing really well lately and have been rewarded with several jeans days and pizza lunches. It pays to be a good employee who works hard and is being recognized for my efforts.

4. Frank and I have been house shopping and will be moving in October. We don't have a lot of time and have to make a decision very quickly. We have a few bids on the table and we hope we will get something soon. We have outgrown our previous residence and our lease ends in September.

5. Frank is trying to get his series 65 license and failed the test by 1-2 questions. Now we will have to pay for him to retake the test. He didn't have much time to study and I am proud of his efforts. He was so close and can hopefully nail it on the next time.

6. Frankie went over to his mother's house this weekend. She didn't pick him up until Saturday afternoon and enjoyed his time with his mother. I worked in the morning and than went to pick up Savannah from her Auntie Dawn's house. They had a great time together and than we went home to go swimming.

7. I took Savannah to her 1st public pool and she liked it however our friends never showed up to go swimming with us. Apparently it was a lack of communication and she changed her plans. It was still fun spending time with my daughter. It was the last weekend the pool was supposed to be opened and a good day to cool off in the pool.

8. My best friend Heather brought her brand new baby Hailey over for a visit. It was nice to finally see her.

9. Frank watched Savannah so that I could go out with my friend Wendy for a girls night out. It was nice to go out without the baby. We went out to eat dinner at a Mexican restaurant and than we went to an old fashioned ice cream palor in Chicago. Afterwards we went to visit her boyfriend who is the GM to an AMC theater downtown. I was given a tour of the theater and got to see the behind the scenes action. It was interesting to see how they put films together and run the movies.

10. Our home teacher came over for a visit. I took Savannah in today to play for a few minutes in the nursery. I think will fit right in. She loves playing with the other kids and with with the toys. One of the kids pulled her hair right in front of me and I was shocked. Last week I found Savannah running around in sacrament with only half of diaper on. I was a bit embarrased but I don't think anyone so her with her diaper falling off. Just one of many stories to come I'm sure.

Eight for the Week

1. Frank and Frankie went down to St Louis on a business trip. Frankie missed out on scout camp this year because we confused the date of camp. Shortly after they came home Frank was on another flight out to Las Vegas. He attended the WFG World Convention for four days. He went to several workshops, seminars and training sessions. It ended with a big Gala and than he came home. I left all week with the kids.

2. Sarah went back to live with her mother. Frank and I are in the process of saving our money to purchase a new house. We are currently looking into moving to a new place in the near future. The end of our lease is in September and we have to move because our landlord is no longer renting his condo. I hope we can find something real soon. This came as unexpected news to me.

3. I went in for my FINAL Herceptin treatment this week. I'm so excited to be all finished. It still hasn't completely sunk in. I have been going for treatment for so long it just seems like I will be going back in a couple of weeks. I have to see my oncologist every three months for the next 8 months. Than it will be once every 6 months and will eventually drop off from there. I have another mammo and ultrasound scheduled for the end of the month. I hope all is clear and looks good. I don't want to have to go through another experience like this one ever again.

4. I had a follow up appointment with my allergist and I have switched to once every 6 months. I was in trouble for only going three times with year. I was supposed to go every month and apparently became lazy about going to get allergy shots. I feel better from when I once first started 6 years ago. I can't wait to get these over also.

5. Frankie was supposed to go over to his mother's house this weekend. He ended up going to Great America with his friend. He spent the night on Friday and has been gone all day. I'm happy that he is having a great time.

6. I had to work overtime this morning and than picked up the baby from the babysitters house. We headed over to my friends house for a playdate. I have developed a friendship with my oncology nurse and we have kids around the same age. We went to the beach and had a great time! Savannah just loves to go swimming and wasn't afraid of the water. She enjoyed playing in the sand and thoroughly enjoyed herself.

7. Frank and I and a couple of our friends went out to eat dinner in celebration of my last treatment. I went to my favorite Mexican restaurant.

8. I'm getting ready to register Frankie for High School and not looking forward to early morning seminary. I'm not looking forward to getting up early every morning to drive him. It will be a struggle to get the boy up inthe morning.

Great News

To my surprise at work yesterday my menstrual cycle returned. I have never been so happy to see it! I'm happy that the dream of having more children is still alive. Yeah for me!!!!! I find it ironic that it came back exactly 2 years from the date of my last one.

Ten for the Week

1. I had my 2nd to last Herception treatment on Friday. I took the day off and enjoyed the time off. It was very relaxing and I joined up with a friend from church and we took our kids to a splash pad. It was a really hot day outside. Savannah didn't really like the water getting in her face although I think she liked it overall. Afterwards I took her to the park to play for a few minutes.

2. I took Savannah over to my friend Wendy's house for a game night and dinner at Taco's Fresca. An old friend was visiting from Arizona and we spent the evening re-connecting with her this evening.

3. I mostly ran my errands in the morning hrs than I dropped Savannah off at the babysitters. I took Sarah for another driving lesson. We drove a total of two hours back over to her mother's house to pick up some things she left over there the weekend before.

4. The kids invited over a couple of friends and went to the mall to just " hang out" with each other. I stayed home to cook dinner for Frank and I. I recently was given a new baby gate for the kitchen. I put this up and Savannah did not like this at all. She screamed bloody murder the whole time I was cooking dinner. I ended up breaking a glass moments later and was grateful that she wasn't anywhere near me.

5. Sarah was asked to give a talk at church today. She did a great job! Frankie was very disruptive and was making funny faces at her during her talk which was disturbing to her so I kicked him out of sacrament meeting. I had to go get him afterwards because he never came back. Frank stayed at home because he was sick with a sore throat.

6. Savannah is cutting a new molar and is now walking and wanting to help mom in the kitchen and clean the house.

7. We took the kids swimming and really enjoyed the cool down in the pool.

8. Sarah is packing for Girl's Camp this upcoming week. She is staying one extra day because she is a 4th level girl and will be going canoeing.

9. Frankie spent his graduation money and purchased a new skateboard. It arrived this week and has been skating every since. He injured his finger playing basketball at the church. He has several injuries from just being a typically boy.

10. I gave a talk in church last week on motherhood. I was so clam and relaxed and did a great job. I was very pleased with how things worked out for me.

14 Months Old

Savannah is 14 months old and is more active than ever! She is now walking on her own and tearing into everything. She loves to laugh and giggle. She knows how to eat with a spoon and fork and enjoys eating dinner with the family. She is a very strong willed child and is very strong for her age. She doesn't like to sit still for very long. She knows what she wants and goes after it until she gets it. She loves climbing stairs and even trys walking up the stairs (holding onto the railing). She really enjoys playing at the park and swimming with the family. She is the center of attention and all the little kids flock to her. She is a people person and is admired and adored by everyone she meets. Savannah has 7 teeth all together and has a back molar coming through.

Ten on Thursday

1. I was surprised with a merit increase at work. It wasn't very much but I was grateful to receive any sort of raise under the circumstances.

2. Savannah has started walking and has been practicing more and more each day. She is so cute trying to walk and hold her own balance. My little girl is growing up so fast!

3. Frank's car has been in the shop for the last 2 weeks. We have been carpooling to work and it has not been easy getting around town. I can't wait to get the other car back soon. We had to spend a bunch of money to fix several problems with the car.

4. Sarah is half way through her driving school lessons. She drove alone today with her instructor for 1 1/2 hrs and is doing pretty well. I have only taken her out the one time. I will have to give her more practice once we get both vehicles back.

5. On Friday night we went to a scavenger hunt at the church. Frank was running late and missed the entire event. I went with a few friends from church. We had a great time! We showed up late and finished in last place. Afterwards we headed out to see Toy Story 3 in 3D. It was a really good movie and we even took Savannah to the late night showing and she watched the entire movie. I was amazed that she sat in the theater the entire show and never made a sound.

6. Frank and Frankie went and did some home teaching on Sunday. Savannah had an accident at church and slipped and fell and hit her head on the pew. I had to take her out and calm her down. I was so embarrassed! I was assured that I was not the only one that this has happened to.

7. The kids mother gave birth to a baby girl today named Hailey. This is baby #7 for their mother.

8. The kids are going to be with us this year instead of going over to their mother's house. We will have them for the fourth of July.

9. I went out to P.F. Changs for dinner tonight with a few friends from work. They gave me a ride home from work.

10. Have a great week!
