1. I spent most of the day alone in the hospital on Tuesday. My dad and the kids came to visit the baby in the morning. Frank went home to take a shower and drive the kids home. He left me alone longer than expected. I was miserable most of the time in the hospital. I had a few visitors in the evening hours and than Frank rejoined me later that evening. My parents came back over after dinner and we had a good visit.
2. On Wednesday I was released from the hospital around noon. It was a gorgeous day outside and I was more than ready to leave the hospital. My dad left early in the morning and arrived home safely.
3. The baby is great and she sleeps a lot at night and doesn't complain much at all. Frank watches her during the night time and I have been getting my 8 hours of sleep. I feel very blessed to have such a loving and supportive husband!
4. I have been trying to breast feed the baby although I didn't feel like she was getting much nourishment out of me so I have been trying to supplement with some formula. She lost some weight since leaving the hospital and has almost completed regained the weight back since she was born.
5. I have been trying to make the adjustment of being a full time mother. I do miss being able to have time to myself. Don't get me wrong I love being a mother but I'm a little spoiled since I was single for so long before I got married and had kids.
6. I took baby Savannah to the doctor twice since she has been home. The doctor told me she is very healthy and doing well.
7. My mom and I went to Hobby Lobby to get some scrapbooking paper and rub ons. We than went out to lunch to La Magdalena's. The food was yummy!
8. For Mother's Day I stayed home from church and Frank purchased a dozen long stemmed red roses and my sister Barbara sent me some beautiful lilies. We told the kids that I had the breast cancer removed and filled them in on what has been happening.
9. I went to my oncology appointment today. The doctor told me I had an agressive growing cancer called HR2. He is recommending several months of chemo and radiation treatments. I'm not sure how this will all work out. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
10. The weather has warmed up quite nicely and I'm looking forward to many more sunny days.

Yep, being a Mom is a big adjustment! I'm still adjusting?! Probably because kids change as they grow up! I believe it took me about a month to get back to church after giving birth. It just really wiped me out!? Still haven't heard the full story about that day?! How long was labor ... etc !! When you feel up to it, write it down!!
Love you, and still praying for you!!
