Ten for Tuesday

1. I went into the doctor's office for chemo treatment #7 just after I returned back home from Idaho. All went well this week with my treatment and I'm officially 1/2 through this treatment. No side effects yet.

2. Sabrina decided this week she wanted to spend the entire weekend with our family. She drove the kids over on Friday night. My house was a little chaotic with all the kids.

3. We had a great time visiting with family and on Saturday night we rented the movie "Wolverine". Sabrina went to pick up Ricardo and they came over and join us for dinner. She cooked a nice birthday dinner for her dad. We ate cake and ice cream afterwards.

4. We all went to church the following day and just barely made it on time. Frankie gave his first talk at church on Honesty and he did a great job!

5. I missed the Woman's Broadcast due to the birthday dinner. I heard there were some really good talks given.

6. The weather has taken a turn for the worse and become cold already. I guess you could say that Fall has arrived. I just had to turn on the heat today.

7. I decided to walk in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Race in Chicago. I called up a couple of close friends from church and they joined me. We carpooled and made it in really good time. We registered the day of and walked around to all the different booths. They had a ton of giveaways and loud music playing and dancing. The survivors had a special breakfast and you could join in a special parade. I opted out of the parade since I have just begun my journey. All the participants had been cancer free for a longer time than me.

8. The race began and we walked with a lot of people in Grant park. I ran into a woman who started talking to me and gave me some words of encouragement. It was neat to see all of the cancer survivors. When I arrived at the halfway point and could see the finish line I started to see runners finishing up the race. The clock said 29minutes which reminded me of Lara. This is the same time that she can run the race in. It was a special moment to me! Maybe next year I will run the 5k race, I will start getting in shape.

9. I ran out of things to say...Have a good week!
