Maui 2015

Waiting at  the Chicago airport getting ready to board the plane

Savannah is ready for take off in Los Angeles

We stayed at the Westin resort in Kaanapali. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and stayed right next to the beach.

Family photo once we arrived. Mom was still trying to shake off the cold weather. We had to check in at the Hyatt hotel

Savannah was able to attend the WFG welcome dinner. It was a catered dinner right next to the beach. It was a very late night and we ended up just eating and leaving afterwards for sleep.

Savannah enjoyed playing on the beach. The waves were pretty strong so she just played on the shoreline.

Savannah getting her feet wet and running away from the oncoming waves.

Mom relaxing by the poolside

Mom enjoying lunch at Relish

Frank joined us to go swimming at the pool

Savannah had a hard time with the time change. Unfortunately she didn't make it to dinner. The waiter let her sleep in a chair while we ate dinner. We were invited to eat dinner with the elite earners in the company.

Savannah is all ready for the pool. She was my little buddy on vacation.

We went to Whaler's Village for shopping and we ate at the Maui's Fish and Pasta restaurant.

Frank actually made an appearance at the beach

Mom was very proud of her sand crab

My beautiful daughter

Savannah attended her first luau and participated in the dance.

Mom enjoying more time at the pool

Savannah is all packed and ready to fly back home. We sure are going to miss Hawaii. She is already looking forward to going back next year. We will see!!

Welcoming grand baby #4

Sarah gave birth to Ryker Nicholas Lazzara on January 12th. She was induced on Sunday night because the baby wasn't gaining any weight from about 34/35 weeks gestation. The doctor's wanted him out to grow more normally. Apparently Sarah's placenta may not have been fully developed. He was born two weeks early on her 20th birthday. He was 5lbs 14 oz and 18 inches long. He was born healthy with only a little jaundice. The delivery went very smoothly. Sarah is happy to be a new mother and is recovering well. She brought him to church and showed him off.
We are so in love this this little peanut!!

Winter Play Time

Savannah just loves playing in the snow. The school kids had three days off from school due to bitter cold temperatures in Chicago. It finally started warming up a little on Saturday. It was the perfect day to build an ice castle and play in the snow. The snow wasn't firm enough to build a snowman.

Mother's New Toy

Mom's new ride has finally arrived. I'm absolutely in LOVE with my new vehicle!
